Utagawa Hiroshige's Mishima: Morning Mist (三島 朝霧) is the twelfth station of his masterpiece series The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō, published by Hōeidō around 1833–1834.

Travellers set out before daybreak from Mishima, the last stop before the hard climb over the Hakone pass. A rider on horseback and a palanquin carried by bare-legged porters emerge in full colour from a world that is dissolving behind them: the great torii of the Mishima Taisha shrine, the thatched roofs, the stone lanterns and two departing figures are printed as flat blue-grey silhouettes with no outline at all, so that they read as pure vapour.

This suppression of the key block is one of the most admired technical feats in ukiyo-e, and it makes Mishima the definitive image of atmosphere in Japanese landscape printmaking.
